UCD Freshers’ Week and the Annual KBC Hot Whiskey Night will be held on September 17th in the Student Bar.

Entry is free to members who have paid fees for the coming year. Alternatively you can sign up on the night.

The reason I use this plugin is its accuracy on collecting pageviews. For my new three column wordpress theme design, I thought I would put the most popular posts according to “Wordpress.com Stats Plugin” in my right sidebar. Plugin doesn’t have any specifications on how you can managed to get those posts listed in your template.So I google searched it to see if anyone created a plugin to achieve that and couldn’t find anything. I tried

New Website

The Cumann have a new website. This website will be updated regularly to keep you informed of the Cumann’s activites.

Flickr, Twitter, Youtube and RSS have all been integrated into the website. The website is fully compatable with Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome and iPhone web browsers.

The website is powered by Wordpress in a similar fashion as the recently launched Fianna Fail website and the campaign website of Barack Obama.

Comments can be left on New Posts (those that appear in the Homepage) and those in the Whats new section on the homepage, but not on the pages linked at the top of the screen (About the KBC, Events, Pictures, Policy etc). For safety, comments are also subject to moderation.

The Kevin Barry Cumann (KBC) is the Fianna Fáil Cumann of University College Dublin (UCD). It is one of the largest cumann in Fianna Fáil with over 400 members and one of the largest branches of any political party in the state.

The Cumanns main aims is to provide a social outlet for its members including holding weekly meetings with guests from the parliamentary party and other facets of political life. Discussions at meetings vary from the political issues of the day to the state of the cumann football team.

Beyond politics altogether, the KBC and its members are renowned for partying and holding some of UCD’s legendary drinks receptions, the first of which is our annual Hot Whiskey Session on the Thursday of Freshers’ Week.
